MUSIC
Gospel Choir: We are thrilled to be running our Gospel Choir beginning September 2024!

THE HEALING POWER OF YOUR OWN VOICE
It’s a great feeling to join with a whole crowd of other voices to inspire and be inspired by the soothing sounds of Gospel music. Each Wednesday at Bez under the leadership of Lincoln Tatem, you’ll have the chance to do just that! If you have not auditioned for our choir previously or were not part of MCC, please be advised that you will need to audition on September 11th. Please schedule your audition HERE.

WELLNESS
Embodied: Embodied is a slow-movement series that focuses on relaxation, breath, release, and reconnecting with yourself. This class will progress as a continuous thread of movement choreography incorporating stretching, balance and strength.

Esteem Classes: Always wanted to take dance, but were afraid of the outfits and the performances? Here's your chance to discover dance in a class full of mature dancers who are just starting too. Wear what you like. Year end performances optional*. Just basic technique that's safe for your muscles and joints and beautiful for your body. Esteem classes now available in Ballet! Find these classes in the “Wellness” category below!

*Costume fees will be processed upon registration. If you decide not to perform in the recital, the fee will be deducted from upcoming monthly payments.

Pilates Matwork: Improve your posture, core strength, flexibility, and body awareness using only a mat, yourself, and some small props (such as exercise balls or resistance bands).

Strength & Conditioning: This class is designed for dancers who are currently training and want to further support their dancing with targeted strength exercises. Starting January 2025!

LEVELS

Level I - Starting to learn and develop the foundational skills for a dance discipline (Junior Level).

Level II - Has completed 2-3 years at Level I mastering the basic foundations and is beginning to build intermediate skills (Intermediate Level).

Level III - Has completed 2-3 years at Level II mastering intermediate skills and is starting to build advanced skills (Advanced & Elite Level).

Level IV - Has completed 2-3 years at Level III, mastering advanced skills and is entering pre-professional training

DANCE
Ballet: A classic form of dance, ballet is the foundation behind every genre. This class, no matter the level, will greatly improve posture, balance and technique for every dancer. We also offer Pointe as well.

Ballet Floor Barre: An ideal way to strengthen, lengthen, and tone the muscles required for Ballet while increasing flexibility, elasticity, and turnout. This class will consist of Ballet exercises, but they will be performed lying and sitting on the floor. Floor Barre is an excellent complement to Ballet training.

Company: An exciting program being offered for the more serious dancers who are keen to dig deeper into their dance involvement and training! Click HERE to learn more!

Contemporary: Express yourself through this grounded and creative form of dance that draws from ballet and various contemporary techniques.

Hip Hop: Popular form of dance that will have you grooving in no time! This class will introduce you to all sorts of moves and music from old to the new! Enjoy Hip Hop with your friends in this urban, energetic and powerful style.

Jazz: An upbeat/energetic, fun to learn form of dance! Dancers are encouraged to add their own personality to make each step unique and fun. The major technical elements (turns, kicks, and jumps) draw from ballet and is taught in a variety of levels.

Mini Dance: Come enjoy a dance platter for your little dancer! They will get a taste of each dance discipline with the main focus on Ballet foundation. Little dancers will also enjoy bringing stories to life in the form of dance as we stretch during dance story time and then incorporate the story in our movement.

Musical Theatre: Discover the energy and choreography of Dance for Musical Theatre. Singers and non-singers are welcome - the focus will be on dancing and acting to soundtracks! More fun than you could ever imagine!

Performance: Classes focus on fun, fitness & community enhanced by a year end performance. Learn stretch, modern, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, jumps & turns in a safe and positive atmosphere. This class offers individual freedom of expression & the opportunity to engage in team performance choreography.

Tap: This is a fun, popular class for dancers, it's like drumming with your feet. Tap dancing is an energetic dance style where students learn rhythm, style and technique through percussive footwork. Tap develops strong co-ordination and a sense of timing and musicality.
