Langley Overdose Response Community Action Team (LORCAT) brings Precarious: A Transformative Musical Tale to the Bez Arts Hub.
Precarious, nominated for a 2024 Fraser Valley Cultural Diversity award, is a community collage play produced by MOCAT. With warmth, authenticity, and a touch of humour, the play tells stories of the toxic unregulated drug crisis.
This phenomenal trio of Celtic musicians features Franco-Ontarian fiddler Pierre Schryer, North American folk dance specialist Danielle Enblom, and European influenced BC guitarist Adam Dobres.

Headlong Hearts are a Vancouver-based roots band composed of five seasoned veterans of the west coast live music scene. A decades-long musical trust, they write great original songs, sing in stacked harmony, and deliver ace musicianship on guitars, violin, banjo, mandolin, bass and drums.
Julian Taylor is an award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter. He has earned three JUNO nominations, a pair of Canadian Folk Music Awards, five Native American Music Award nominations, and a nomination for the Polaris Music Prize.

Through a life of many relocations and countless months on the road performing, Fearing has become a gifted storyteller and true musical nomad with the ability to enthrall audiences of all sizes and attitudes. “Getting on stage is the fun part, especially when the adrenaline kicks in,” he says, with a broad smile. “People want to escape and be taken on a journey. I build my shows so they do just that.”
A new community choir in Langley, BC in the Black Gospel style, that features local voices and stellar vocal arrangements by director Lincoln Tatem. Old school tunes, and contemporary songs delivered with power and passion featuring accompanist Diane Lines and a high energy backing band.

He's a singer and songwriter of great skill, an in-demand and prolific record producer (Bruce Cockburn, Tom Wilson, Colin James), a sideman to the stars as guitarist for the likes of Bruce Cockburn, Emmylou Harris, and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, and, for the past decade, a member of the highly successful trio, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings.

Suzie has performed at Bez twice and we can’t wait to have her back - no one delivers the songs and stories quite like her. This time she’s bringing her old friend and touring partner Veda Hille along. Veda is one of East Vancouver’s most loved theatrical composers and a delightful entertainer with a long list of recording projects and theatre productions. They will be on stage together swapping songs and as you can probably imagine, the banter and beauty of these two great musical storytellers will be outstanding.
