It all started when…
a group of veteran artists began to see that many young artists were struggling to find their way in training, in creating and in developing a career in the arts - often without much encouragement or direction. Some of them thought, “Well hey, I’ve learned a few things along the way as I have pursued my career as an artist, maybe I could pass a few things along to a new generation, so they don’t have to start from scratch.” And so they started to imagine a collaborative community from which they could begin to pass their invaluable learning to young emerging artists - not just skills training, but practical advice, coaching, critiquing and envisioning with them.
Bez Art Hub in Langley, BC Canada became the launching point from which these classes and performance experiences could be established and nurtured. So here we are, gathering the mentors, assembling the students and imagining a rich learning experience for up-and-coming artists of all sorts. There is no lack of new creative territory to jump into and to experience.
