Famed pianist, Bill Sample was Ray’s music director; world-class bassist, Miles Foxx Hill was Van’s go to player; and drummer Buff Allen was Roger’s constant band member. These 3 award-winning musicians are fronted by the smokey vocals of Darlene Cooper to complete the fabulous jazz quartet that is the Wild Blue Herons.

Recorded in their home studio during the 2020/21 lockdown, the album displays two musicians with both skill and sensitivity; Bill’s mastery as an accompanist shines through whilst Darlene’s classy phrasing tells the stories. You & I features the artwork of Vancouver renowned artist, Joe Average and will be released digitally, in cd format and as a limited edition of vinyl.
