Marcus Mosely is joined by Candus Churchill to host a Black History Month livestream show.
In keeping with the tradition of honouring black Canadian heroes and (s)heroes, there will be a very special tribute to Sibel Thrasher who passed away April 9 2020.
During Sibel’s decades-spanning career, the jumbo voiced actor-singer with the four-octave range worked with music greats such as Roy Ayres, Long John Baldry, Donna Summer, Linton Garner and Etta James. She became a fast fixture in the local jazz and blues music scenes, and also carved out a spot for herself onstage.

Bez is delighted to partner with two of Vancouver’s great Black artists; Marcus Mosely, a BC Entertainment Hall of Fame recipient and Candus Churchill an actor, singer and entertainer. Together they’ll sing and storytell their way through an inspiring evening that you won’t want to miss. On keyboards for this fantastic musical event is the renowned Bill Sample another fixture in the Canadian music who’s list of accolades is truly astonishing.
