Sister Speak

  • Bez Arts Hub #102 - 20230 64th Ave. Langley, BC Canada (map)

Bez is pleased to present a very special evening with Sister Speak solo, performing songs from upcoming record “Love For All” (out April 2022) as well as many classics from her first 3 records.

After hearing the beautiful and compelling ‘New York Sunrise’ by Sister Speak on CBC Listen Canadian Songwriter playlist, we discovered she was a BC local and we reached out to her and offered her a spot on our Bez stage. This is the kind of thing that really excites us, connecting audiences with fantastic music! Join us on March 11 for Sister Speak.

Canadian born Taylor guitars artist Sherri Anne is at the core of international touring act, Sister Speak. In concert Sister Speak combines passionate Alt/Folk/Blues with a touch of World music. Sister Speak has headlined and performed at various festivals and iconic venues globally and shared the stage with The Doobie Brothers, Xavier Rudd, Mike Love and Air Supply among others.

Sister Speak has 3 albums to date - each of them a result of moments of extreme vulnerability transformed into music. Her next record, Love For All (Liebe Für Alle), out April 2022, takes a step deeper in expressing Sister Speak’s high energy “Alt-Blues-World” sound while capturing the raw emotion of the music. The album features Anne’s engaging, heartfelt vocals and lyrics, rich acoustic guitar stylings and the talents of her bandmates Stephen Haaker, Sarven Manguiat and Jacob Miranda Jr. Guest musicians Bonnie Brooksbank (Marina), Jon Deas (Gary Clark Jr), Aaron Durr and The Brother Burns add their magical touch as well.

Whether performing solo or as a band, Sister Speak aims to share message-driven music and support the authentic expression of the woman's voice. The full band is based in California and British Columbia with some tour breaks spent in Vermont.
